My last three years of teaching involved climbing six flights of stairs several times a day in an old building. When we reached the top landing both my pupils and I were huffing and puffing. Little did I realize that the climb was actually saving my life. Since, the pupils received sparse other exercise, it was actually good for them as well.

Independent creature that I am, I never got a sticker and would use shopping carts to lean on as I made my way through parking lots. I was forced to be more mobile which provided sufficient exercise for me at the time.
