May our formerly appointed and first time elected president George W. Bush take notice. For the next four years, America reflects this ancient Chinese phrase: "May you live in interesting times."
We are the best nation when it comes to people being free to be what we choose to become. And under the microscope of domestic and international scrutiny, we have a history too stained to ever become a "Pleasantville/Stepford Wives" nation.
I don't think that you would ever be classified a Stepford wife and neither will I. The thing is that we all must be true to ourselves and respect the opinions of others. As I said in my prayer for the nation when I am tempted to raise a fist and strike stay my hand. Fight for that cause that is noble and not over an election car race or movie star.
