When it comes down to the nitty gritty of humanity, the souls of men and women have nothing to do with politics.

I'm not crazy about the announcement that our US troops will be pulling out of the tsunami ravaged areas in the next 90 days. Where nature deals indescribable devastation, I believe all world leaders should put aside their differences.

But the U.S. is pulling out of Indonesia. WHY??? Isn't this president of these divided states of America "pro-life"?

Have they found no weapon of nature's destruction causing them to say to the Dec. 26 victims to "live and let die?"

Kindness and compassion have no business on any lobbyist's agenda. The word of God, in my own opinion and belief, should never be forced on anyone. If Jesus Christ didn't force his ways on people, I cannot believe in administrations that try to legislate free well.

The question that I have for the Congress of the United States of America is this: Why can't we all just be considered decent human beings, striving to do our best and share our light without expecting something political in return?

If people know they are wrong, and don't want to admit it, they will be held accountable in God's own time. Just because there is white marble in Washington DC doesn't mean there isn't dirt between the concrete blocks that hold the political facade together.

Let's use our common sense, and remind Congress that they are not George's Angels. God doesn't belong to anyone's political party; God is an independent thinker.

Whenever Christians talk about pain and suffering, someone can be counted on to quote Romans 8:28: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." But how can that be true literally? You have acknowledged that Christians go through the same kind of suffering that unbelieving people do.
