Once upon a time I used to be in awe as to what it would be like to be in the green room of the Oprah Winfrey Show. Sistah-Girl straight up made a name for herself, and she did it the hard way.

I remember a visit to Chicago when my children were still old enough to be considered minors. There's one thing about Chicago that I'll never forget. . . . the nightmarish hidden street signs and the buildings so tall that you couldn't tell where you were going until you missed where you wanted to go. Like the Sears Tower for instance. . . .

But let's put aside and forget about marvels of modern male architecture. You know that THE most amazing thing I remember doing is standing outside of the rather simplistically designed Harpo Studios and seeing. . . . (are you ready for this?). . . .

Okie Dokie~! I'm back. We were talking about Aleja's amazing book that really NEEDS to be on Oprah's book club that has REAL LIVE incidents, not like James Frey's trumped up fantasies posing as real. I would have gotten back here sooner but we had to talk about this station that pulled out from promoting Aleja's book. . .  KISS 98.7 in New York. But you know, KISS 98.7 did get all up into somethin' that Oprah really should talk about. . . . cheating spouses who try to guilt trip their wives. Now THAT would make an interesting page turning book. Now after hearing that I know y'all are sayin' "Well well well, that WOULD make a great psycho-romance thriller, all 100% true and realistic--as sick as that no good cheatin' man is--and it wouldn't be made up, like James Frey's Million Lies. (I tell ya' a lot of men need therapy because if men got therapy maybe women would be so messed up about the men who need therapy but deny needing therapy that cause women in their lives to seek therapy to avoid things like life in prison.)

But back to Oprah's trailer! Wow I tell ya I could even get up on the little aluminum stair steps and peek in to see all of those size 22 clothes she used to wear! But I couldn't stay up there long as I'd hoped.

Besides the studio was closed that Saturday afternoon in 1997. So we went to the Hologram Museum down the street and bought some neat little flying saucer looking souvenir. And I rubbed Oprah's trailer dirt all over it for luck.

So if Oprah's Book Club wants true stories, she should hang out here with the REAL LIFE writers of Authors Den!

love y'all, and write to Doubleday so they will give our poor Brother Frey some free therapy. (He might have to give back all those millions once the Queen of Talk gets through with him!)
