As part of your 4th of July remembrance, please make the choice of speaking out with your computer, and send postcard to President Bush asking him to take serious action to stop the genocide in Darfur. What if this was America where, since 2004, at least 500 men, women and children continue to be slain, raped and mutilated, subject to disease, starving to death.

Think of a Katrina situation happening every single day in the SuperDome. That's exactly what is happening in the western region of Sudan in the largest country in Africa-and that UNFREE country is Darfur.

The silent and immobile never make a difference. Please, PLEASE, take time from your holiday festivities and send a postcard to our president. And have a moment of silence with your own family to remember that if democracy is to be promoted, it cannot be promoted with war.
