We all are running around like crazy nowadays.  We have our jobs, the kids’ sports, family engagements, and our hobbies.  We go so long without sleep, and our house reflects the chaos.  You might start out with a neat and tidy home.  Before you know it, shoes are spread out all over the house, clothes pile up on the floor where they were shed, and dirty dishes begin to pile up and seem to expand.

Our homes get cluttered so quickly.  It gets away from us and before you know it we begin to get depressed looking at the disaster we call home.  How would you like to walk in and find the surprise of a clean and organized house?  It would be wonderful.  Then add that to your ideas of gift giving.

Work with the family receiving the precious gift and give them a day out.  Send them on a picnic or to visit family.  Get them out for the whole day.  Then bring in the crew and get to work. 

How do you organize such a surprise?  First, find a crew that wants to help out.  Get the spouse in on it and get the whole family out.  Take your own cleaning supplies as you have no idea what is already at the house to use.  You don’t want to waste time running around for supplies.  Give the crew their assignments and get to work.

Add a few fresh flowers to brighten up the rooms and make it all sparkle.  You want to WOW them when they open up the door.  Add a sign with everyone’s names on it and watch their tears flow forth.

Giving a gift does not have to hit the pocketbook or be extravagant.  Just helping a friend out during the chaotic times could be the best gift of all.
