Children can develop tough problems whether little or young adults. Many of these situations can be confusing and baffling and after contacting many counsellors and therapists and not getting to first base, frustration and anger can set in. Many people have sympathy for the children who definitely hurt inside and try to surmount their difficulties, but few realize that the parents are abused as well.
Another of my articles in this section is "The Ballad of the Adopted Child, Part I and Part II." I want you to know that you don't have to be adopted or a foster child to exhibit some of these same symptoms. A birth child who has always lived with his birth parents, can also be plagued with some of the same traits that are unproductive, and frightening to both the parent and the child.
