An article detailing the origins of the phrase "The Proof is in the Pudding."

He asked if I had ever heard of the phrase "the proof is in the pudding." I told him that I had heard of it, but I had not read much about it yet. I then told my mom that the only thing I knew about that phrase was that it was originally "the proof is in the eating of the pudding."
