To be welcome, guests need not sanitize or in any way alter how they express their reality.
It’s come as you are when visiting my blog, CiCi’s Garden –otherwise what would be the point? To be welcome, guests need not sanitize or in any way alter how they express their reality. The Garden is a place where frank conversation is embraced, emotions respected and affirmed while at the same time encouragement is offered to those who long to know that wounded hearts can heal –even if it takes a lifetime. However, no judgments are made one way or another. My own mother died without ever finding peace, and that’s reality, too.
I understand when visitors to the Garden write that they don’t want to be told they are okay. I know that place intimately. It’s cyclical agony –hurt because you’re hurt because you’re hurt ad infinitum. People who have not experienced the kind of abuse that lingers in every cell and fiber of one’s being long after occurrence cannot comprehend the damage that can be done to human hearts –it’s too disturbing. Emotional bruising and the accompanying pathways of fear, panic, dread, anxiety and nightmares, amplified by guilt, humiliation, remorse, self-hatred and sorrow, is enough to keep the couches of countless therapists and psychologists occupied 24/7 for millenniums.
As you are welcomed as a guest to CiCi’s Garden, you are invited to bask in the “sunlight” –the positive messages and hope expressed– and to let it warm your soul. Any “shadows” present are only there to offer privacy and coolness and peace. There are no psychoanalysts to probe your identity, no moralists to judge your mind-set, no critics to condemn your circumstances.

Each time I write my blog I send it out trusting it will find its way to someone who will find it helpful, maybe even inspiring, and that it will bring a measure of joy to their heart!
