About how we should take charge of our life before it is too late.

Life goes by too fast

by Jan Richards....Published

Are you afraid to say your age? Why does it bother you? Some people look their age and some don't, while others look older than a person the same age. Why is this? Is it the food we eat, or the exercise we do? Or maybe it is the friends we keep in touch with, possitive, not negative. Life starts out as a child and we rush our life and want to become a teen, then we rush it and want to be an adult. Some of us can't wait to marry and have kids, while others head for a career. Then it starts, age starts to creap up on us. We notice we are starting to turn 40, which was my worst year. Then the mid way crisis comes at 50, and we start to worry about the years which are going to fast. When we reach 60 we can't wait for 62 or 65 to stop working and collect social security and medicare and retirement. We try to put money aside for this, to go on trips and have fun, but then disaster starts at 70 and all hell breaks loose. Our mate, and sometimes, ourselves, start to have operations, hip, knees, back, etc. The list goes on and on. We notice time does not stand still while this is happening and we wake to find one day we are 80. We deal with arthritis and we try to smile because being negative only puts us in depression. We look at our life and wonder what we did with it and how long we have left. It is too late to worry about that now. Life has to be cherrished from the beginning. We have to take each day and do things we want to do, because time goes too fast and before we know it, we can not do things anymore. Don't wait till you retire to take that vacation. Don't hurry to grow up. Been with friends and enjoy your life to the fullest, and do things you want. Never put them aside because we do not know how long we will live. Some live over l00 and others will die young, even as babies. Start now, eat healthy, exercise, go out with friends and enjoy your life before you have no life to enjoy

"Life has to be cherrished from the beginning" - How I wish that I had understood this nugget of truth as I rushed through childhood, teenaged-dom and arrived into adulthood. The good news is that it is never too late to do it, and that encouraging finish to this article made it worth the read.
