Sometimes in writing these I am indulging in self talk. I hope that others gain something from this even if some of the statements may seem rather obvious. Knowledge put into practice becomes wisdom.

Make a choice to travel your chosen road towards your particular destination.
Success is achieved by dogged determination and sheer grit.
Don't lose sight of the goal ahead and forge on regardless of all obstacles and you will achieve the goals you aspire to - maybe not quite in the way you may envisage because there are always variables but your desired destination will ultimately be reached if you stay on track.
Keep focussed.
Do not waiver.
Don't adopt a defeatist attitude.
Don't fear other people.
    Accept their failings
    Embrace their strengths
Don't be afraid to ask for help when needed.
Always be honest and upfront in your dealings with other people.
Demonstrate that you can be trusted by being a person of your word.
If you make mistakes, own up.
Have a sense of humour and learn to laugh at yourself.
Apologise quickly if your mistakes affect others.
Take steps to correct any damage done. If this is not possible, move on taking your lesson with you.
Guilt and regret are great time wasters.
You are limited only by your self perception.
If you see yourself as a winner, you are one.
If you don't, start rehearsing for the role.
What at first may seem to be an act, soon becomes second nature.
