Relationship to money

YUCK,yuck, it seems such an ever intruding annoyance that often times leads to avoidance.....As does,relationships (wait, I sense a tangent slipping through and reserve that topic for another ramble please or help me see the relevance here)


Whether you have plenty and you spend your time thinking about it how to protect it, grow it, or spend it;
whether you never , or often (softer nonsuperlative) seem to not have  enough nor understand how to change that, or you watch others to see if you can figure out how they get money or what they do with money.........

I think you get the idea. As said so many times by many, money is the root of all evil, really? Is there a root to money? Is there evil? It is certainly a high contender for energy and time consumption,and point of focus in the physical life. It seems to have a powerful dynamic that carries a demanding presence and emotional charge in much of our day to day activities,thoughts, feelings and actions underlying a lot of motivation to our choices. Affecting our lives in both direct and indirect ways;causing a  desire for mastering and ability to take us out of our center and render us powerless to it. It sure has the ability to take us off path and spend our life bantering back and forth with much displeasure and be distracted by it's lure and forget about the gifts and joys of life to be appreciated and grateful for. It sure impacts our ability to feel safe and able to survive and occupies a large amount of the 24 hours each day and how we choose to spend that time. Splintering off segregated definition as work or play,measured in either I am making money or I am spending money compartmentalizing our experience and  meaning to either or: I am either making money or spending money and  I am either working or playing, but not both usually at the same time. Fragmenting our wholeness,disempowering our sense of abundance,buying into lack and limitation allowing  labeling and judgement.
HMMM, sounds like addiction! The dictionary says addiction to be: the quality or condition of being addicted, esp. to a habit-forming substance;addicted is: to cause to become physiologically or psychologically dependent on a habit-forming substance. I mean I have heard of gamblers anonymous and overspenders anonymous or shopaholics, and workaholics, but money addict? Is it possible to have a human experience and not be a money addict? Is every human potentially a money addict? There seems to be a habit forming substance (money) and a behavior or relationship with the object (substance) that is dependent/habit forming , can lead to unhealthy choices and behaviors, obsessions, and self destructiveness and the ability to deem oneself powerless to it. Money is an outside object, which we truly have no control over yet feverashy attempt to exert control over it,yet it has a lot of control over our life and quality of life, or is this just a perception or is it a reality?
We are often given to much anxiety about money and encouraged by our social and cultural conditioning in how we should have a "proper" relationship to money. But all said and done after you go through the rinse cycle a few times in the washer, what is left as YOUR relationship to money. That crumpled,tattered discolored dollar is still spendable, or you grab the invisible tape and do a quick repair and release quickly job before anyone notices and refuses to accept it. As after all, that IS how money will flow in and out of your physical experience regardless of all the other fluff, based on YOUR relationship to the subject of the object of money.
Can we look at money as an object without it becoming an addiction, or a central focus in our lives? I see that it is a physical tangible mode of measuring and distributing value however, in and of itself an object subjective to its assigned, perceived value, where does its control and power originate from? Where in YOUR life do you assign the value? If it is a majority position of value to you, how do you successfully navigate your life against the stream?
Is there answer to these questions, is there a substitute for money? Can it be replaced in value of our lives? Can our lives still function in the physical with changes to money. After all, our monetary systems are failing. Some say they were designed to fail. Some say there is no such thing as failure, only experience. Has the experience of money been played everywhich way and it's extinction has been served? Are our innovators currently working on this? How might your life change with the extinction of money?
