Review: A VERY FUDDLES CHRISTMAS, and a Giveaway!
A copy of the book was provided to me by the publisher, Aladdin, in exchange for an honest review.
Poor Fuddles. What's a fat, pampered cat to think when he awakes to a delicious smell? Clearly something yummy has been prepared--just for him. But as he approaches the feast, Fuddles learns it's not for him after all. The temptations in the living room must be for him. They're just his taste: ribbons, candy treats on a gingerbread house, a string of lights! But, alas, those things are not for him either. So, the tree, then? Every cat would like to have his very own tree! After an oops with the tree (that was not for him either), Fuddles finds himself outside. Outside is strange and cold. And he's at the mercy of a pair of pesky squirrels! Outside is no place for a spoiled house cat.
Young readers will delight in seeing how Fuddles gets back into his house, and back to a proper level of pampering. With charming illustrations Frans Vischer brings Fuddles (and his fat cat style) to life. The antics of Fuddles, along with the details in the artwork, will have kids, and their adults, saying, "Read it again!"
