Here I am, almost about to start "running" again, but taking the few spare moments that all this "race" offers me to share some updates with you all.
The filly in the photo, Harmonie Verte, is competing in her first international show this weekend. The show has actually started on thursday, here in Portugal, and there are riders and horses from all over the world. You may well imagine how "nerve-wrecking" this is, and yet, how so very exciting! Of course, being her first international, we are not expecting our gorgeous Harmonie to win or even to be placed among the first six in the classes pertaining to her category, as she simply does not have the experience. However, she's been doing well, and the fact that she's been jumping with all her heart and in high spirits, is all that truly matters to us. We all love her dearly - as we love all the other horses, our own as much as those whose owners have placed in our care - and their physical and emotional well-being is our first and foremost concern - but Harmonie's story, which soon I'll be happy to share with you all, will help you see what made her so special to us!
And now, dear friends, I really must run (with the practice, if I were a horse myself, I'd be apt to be competing in the Grand National in no time at all, LOL!). Apart from Harmonie, we have one more filly competing at this show. Her name is Ileana Verte (both fillies are by our stallion Vert Muguet) and this is her second international. Please keep your fingers crossed for both of them, so that they may have good, clear rounds!
Next week, things will still be quite "frantic"... but for other reasons. ;0) Please don't forget to keep checking on our website...
