The Literary Author must sufferer before he can be called that.

 Good writing is definitely a result of soul-suffering. Without that it will hardly touch the souls of others. We need to drown deep into grievous seas before we can surface and soar to the skies reaching out for the stars. The man who creates should have had that expansive movement of the soul which has taken him across the universe, as it were. Sitting in a small room, cut off from the world, the literary mind meanders across the world in a way that his reaction to an episode becomes a reaction to the universe. He is virtually dead as his soul comes to life. But in order to do that the soul needs to be shaken or, might I say, freed from the body at the moment of creation. In a successful author the soul becomes a living soul, one in which the imagination has been given an elasticity to incorporate and accommodate contradictory, even illogical things.
