I wanted to share a bit more insight on how diminished self-esteem can be show up in your life and your business. The fact that these behaviors are driven by self-esteem may be surprising to you. So take a peek, you may see things in ways you have not before!

 Self-esteem and self-sabotage:

1.       Perfectionism. If nothing is ever perfect, then you may spend an eternity finessing and retooling a project only to finally abandon it based on the notion it is not good enough.

2.       Procrastination. Putting off important tasks is one way someone with diminished self-esteem can avoid failure, judgment and embarrassment. Those with lower levels of self-esteem are very often chronic procrastinators.

3.       Self-comparison. Those with lower self-esteem often fall into the destructive habit of self-comparison. In doing so, they not only contribute to further harming the self-esteem they have, but they also put themselves in a losing position of trying to imitate others rather than exposing their own true genius.

4.       Inaction. If you suffer from low self-esteem, chances are you have a tremendous struggle when taking important actions or making critical decisions in your life and business.

Self-sabotage is one of the key reasons businesses fail … why brilliant dreams are buried by brilliant entrepreneurs who just didn’t understand the true destructive power of their own low self-esteem.

You are on the right path! Keep going.
