Jesus did not come into been 2,000 years ago in Bethlehem. He was here from the very beginning of creation according to John 1:1-2. Only he was not called Jesus. But the 'WORD' The Word here is the 'Logos'.
Here is the mystery; The Word was with GOD; as a matter of fact, the Word was GOD.
Let's pause for a moment, and think of which god we are dealing with. in our society today there so many god's; god's of silver, god's of gold, and everything in between.
But we are speaking of the sovereign GOD of the universe, creator of everything; mercifull and true , loving and kind, faithfull and just. The only wise God of the Bible.
The Word was with him, from the very beginning; you cannot separate the two because they are one. How do we know that the Word is a person, because the Bible describe him as he; thats enough for me.
He, as in masculine gender not female as some colt would have us think. No mistery here, just Biblical facts.
All things were made by him, there is nothing in this world that was not made by him. He spoke and whatever he said, became exactly what he says.
In him is life, without him we are nothing. Without the Word dwelling in us, we are dead Spiritually. Thats why the Bible says that if we accept Christ in our hearts, we have eternal life.
Eternal life is ours if we only believe that he manifested himself, dwelt among us,died on a Cross and rose on the third day, and is coming back again.
