This is one of the most haunting command in the old testament stories. God said to Abraham take now thy son, thine only son  isaac, whom thou lovest, and offer him to me as a sacrifice.

 The command is to take him "now" not tomorrow not next week but now. And just incase there is any misunderstanding which son he is speaking of, He was told Isaac* the one whom he loves; so Abraham would have no questions; "right"?

Things got more tense from here on.He said go into the land of mariah, and offer him on a mountain which I will show you. Now picture Abraham, with his young son and a couple of servants,traveling to an unknown place to offer him as sacrifice. Imagine the thoughts that must be going through his mind;

Offer him as a sacrifice keep ringing in his ear. So he thought ,that this means that I'll have to use a knife and and cut his...Oh no I cant say it. Thats when the blinding bitter tears starts to flow. Oh God he pleaded "why"? Isn't there another way. Than to take my son my only son that I dearly love and kill him.

I did'nt even tell Sarah; because she wouldn't understand.moreover she was still asleep when I left*OH GOD! Its tearing me apart.But I have to be obedient to you LORD; please speak to me so I can be absolutely sure; Its two days now we've been traveling and I have yet to see that mountain.

But I am trusting you LORD because you are my friend. You brought me through many trials and tests all the way from Ur of the Chaldes. And even when I lied my way into Egypt, you forgave me, and brought me out a richer and wiser man.

You promised me a Son  and you gave me Isaac; how will I be father of many nations, If I am to sacrifice my son.GOD I don't understand. Unless you are going to raise him up to life again. But I never hear of a resurrection before.

Unless he will be the first one;Oh God I must be going crazy. Suddenly he lifted up his eyes on the third day and God showed him the mountain.

O. K. Lord I will leave the servants here , and the Boy and I will go up the mountain and worship.

Here Son! you carry the wood. After three days of traveling It's  rely hard to climb this mountain; come my son we have to reach the top before sunset. thats when Isaac notice something was missing.  So he said to his father we got the wood and the fire but *where is the Lamb for the burnt offering* Oh my Son the Lord will provide a lamb for himself. In the mean time there was a Ram coming up on the other side of the mountain.

 After everything was ready, Abraham laid his Son on the Altar and was just about to  offer him up... when the Lord call out to him from heaven; "Do not touch the Boy"   When he looked around he saw the ram caught in the bushes.

 Isn't it just like our God, he always provide for his people just at the right time.
