This article is about realizing that some of our trials come to make us only to surrender to the will of God for our lives.
SAYING YES TO GOD
Luke 22:42
42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be done.
Saying “Yes Lord” is surrendering totally to God’s plan and not our own. We must learn like His son Jesus and say, “Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be done.” Though it was not a part of my plan to be diagnosed with HIV there was a purpose in God’s plan. It was during this time that I simply surrendered all to Christ while dying to myself. As I gave my soul and thoughts to Christ something transpired in my life. I no longer desired my will but I wanted the life and purpose that God had for me. I began to know Christ as Jehovah Rophe. I told God that He would get the glory out of this trial in my life. I waited on my healing and God healed my body from HIV. Realizing that He was the only one who could heal me I simply just surrendered all to Him. My cup was a bitter cup but I did not allow it to make me become bitter. Christ’s cup was bitter when He was about to face crucifixion, but He did not become bitter. There are times when God will allow a trial to come to help us align with His will and purpose for our lives.
We should look at our trials as an alignment just as our cars must be aligned for us to drive straight. Our lives must be aligned with the purpose and the will that God had already outlined so that we may walk in His perfect will. If Christ could tell His Father yes knowing that his trial would not be painless, but painful, we should surrender simply because saying yes to God is saying that you want the very best and nothing less. What is God requiring you to say yes to?
