Sean Archer learns the value of brotherhood.

Beneath the Surface: The Lost Boy (Volume 1) is about two brothers named, Sean and Erren Archer. Bridget, their mother, goes into labor aboard the spaceship, The Migrant Swan, and Erren is born by Caesarean section in the Void of space from the womb of a dead mother. Sean is so full of grief that he abandons his little brother, at two years old, in the forest and went hunting on the planet Midgard. The Queen of the Forest found Erren and stole him away from the brutal world and the nightmare future she foresaw for him. When Sean returned and found him gone, he was angry at first, but then worried. The search party couldn't find Erren and he was lost. Sean at first did not value brotherhood, but as he hunts for years in the forest trying to find his lost brother, he realizes how important brotherhood is. The only family he has left is his grumpy father. He never realized how important family was until he had so little of it. As his mother's ghost told him, "I didn't just give you a brother. I gave you your best friend." So Sean could not stop hunting until he found the brother he once rejected. He learns the value of brotherhood.
