What is the better dimension of the Human. The Human has a high forehead which many animals lack. The mytho-cultural- poetic dimension of the human is the measure of the higher dimension of the human. In the Human thing the world of crime and literature clash.

       The appetitive nature of the human is radically different from the appetitive dimension of animals. The appetitive nature of the human can go to excess in gluttony, violence, greed and acquisition. In contrast animals like jackals have a controlled appetite. Jackals do not kill off a whole herb of wildebeest for a feeding. Squirrel s do not hold nuts to excess like military hoarding. Animals have many strengths the Human lacks! The better difference in the Human is highlighted in this movie. It stands in contrast to the Disney movie Black Panthers!

This is a dark comedy by Gerardo Chijona which harkens to Coppola’s The Godfather and the American TV Series The Sopranos.  Violence solves conflicts is the theme.

There are two worlds in the film. One is the world of crime. Enrique Molina is a businessman who does not hesitate to use Torture,

The second world is the literary world. Where Valdemir Cruz 

Makes a living holding literary workshops. Thieves break into the writers house and steal his manuscript and  laptop. One of the thieves sees an opportunity to win a literary contest by plagiarizing the work.

The writer is portrayed as a hack or jackal without redeeming characteristics. 

The literary contests are set forth as rigged and bribery is evident.
