I came across this book in Subtext Bookstore. It is the story of the Heyday of Minnesota Liberal Politics. The leaders in the legislature were Nick Coleman, Rudy Perpich and Conzemius. Nick Coleman was a dapper Dan Irish politician advertising man from St. Paul,MN. Rudy Perpich was a dentist from the Iron Range. He married Lola who he met in an Ice Cream store in Hibbing. She was statuesque and terribly attractive. Conzemius is a longtime long name tradition Minnesota. 

Consensus Politics:MN 1980s.

There has not been a working political consensus in Minnesota politics since the early 1980s when these politicians were leaders. Why is this?  There is not one major historian I can think of that would put his seal of approval in this?
