Jesus died so that we would have life and life more abundantly. His precious word tells us that He left His peace behind for us to bask in; for us to glory in while awaiting His soon return. He ensures us that we can have a piece of heaven right here on earth if we would only rid ourselves with the cares of this world. We must stop allowing our problems to overtake us; overrun us; overrule us; the Lord is so much bigger than any problem that we could ever come up against. As a matter of fact, the Lord allows the problems to be where they are so, that you are able to see where you are and where you’re supposed be; or better yet, where you can be in God.

The Lord promises us in the Word, that the peace which He has left behind for us is available at any hour of the day; any second of the minute; it is available for our taking. The word says that we can do all things in Christ Jesus who strengthens us and redeems us. The word says, “ If God be for us, who can be against us?” Have you ever thought about that statement for a minute? Have you ever truly taken the time to truly understand and comprehend this scripture for a minute and the power that stands behind it and us? Allow me to repeat it one more time so that you are able to truly feel and hear what the Lord is trying to say to you right now. “IF GOD BE FOR US, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US?” The enemies of God were defeated when Jesus died at the cross and long before; therefore, who can contend with the Lord at the end of the day? The devil himself in the demonic forms that he possess and those that run with him, know who Jesus is; they know who God is and they tremble at the very thought of His presence. Imagine what they will do when He finally arrives to tear down this mockery that has been made of our Heaven on earth and all the things within that brought about sin and destruction; evil and nothing likened unto the Lord or His Son?

In the book of Job, the angels of the Lord presented themselves before the Lord and Satan presented himself as well.  Now ain’t that something, Satan presented himself before the Lord. Now why would he present himself before the Lord if he himself were truly the Lord of all Lords? Because he knows that he too will bow

down and burn down when all is said and done, he’s just hoping that you won’t read the word to know these things for yourself. The word of God says, “Study to show thyself approved.” When the enemy comes to remind you of all the bills you can’t afford to pay; the house note; the car note; the water bill; the gas bill; the phone bill arrives, you can tell the enemy to get back jack because the Lord is the author and finisher of your faith. We are able to be reminded that the Lord promised to provide our every need. He said that if we would only ask, then we shall receive. If we seek, then we shall find. If we knock, then the door shall be opened unto us. Bless the Lord, God is such that He can not lie, so what’s the problem? The problem is that we don’t trust God the way that we say that we do. We trust God on Sunday Morning when we’re in Church. We trust God on the night of Bible Study when we are before the Congregation praising God altogether. We trust God when we’re all posted up at Praise and Testimony. We’re trusting God when we are posted up around other Saints, we’re big, we’re bad, we’re bold, because we know that “Where two or three are gathered together, He is there in the midst,” so we’re bold then, but the minute we step out the church doors, we’re defeated. Why is this? Because we are not remaining rooted in the word. We must feed the spirit so that we are built up when the enemy comes against us; otherwise, the flesh will be ready and we will entertain. The Lord said that we have power over all things through Him but we must, we must, we must Work Our Faith. Faith without works is dead, that’s the word. Those that go to the Father must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him, that’s the word. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, that’s the word and who can contend with the word? Who can question the word? Who can contest that the word is or isn’t and yet stand before the Lord with answers? No one.  We must stop allowing our issues in life to dictate our life, God is the author and the finisher of our faith. He is consistent and persistent, He is faithful when we are not. Trusting God is not an easy task many might say, yet you trust the cashier to give you back your right amount of change. You trust the chair in the restaurant to hold you when you go out to eat. You trust the Pastor, Preacher, Minister, Priest, Reverend, whomever is bringing the word or head of the church to be honest and sincere. You trust your boyfriend, girlfriend, wife or husband not to cheat on you. You trust your children to heed the words that you say or have said. You trust yourself to make the right decisions but you cry out to God the minute that your plans don’t go exactly as you expected. Hallelujah! Lets keep it real with ourselves. The Lord is trying to take us to higher places in Him and we won’t get there with no whiners spirit. We must be as persistent with the word of God as we are with our desire for blessings from God. We will irritate the life out of the Lord for the things that we desire most but, we won’t budge but just a little bit regarding the things that He desires of us. The word says if you make one step, God will make two.

Think about that for a minute. If you make one step, the Lord will make two on your behalf. Question is, have you made your one step yet, while you’re demanding that the Lord make His two which He never misses? How often do you examine where you are in God? Is it only on Sunday Mornings in front of the church folks; Monday Mornings in front of co-workers; Wednesday Nights at Bible Study? When, what time do you set aside to hear from the Lord? How much time do you set aside to talk to God, read His word, hear His voice? I’m not condemning, I’m just saying, you’re missing out. If you’re not making your time with God as intimate and as personal as possible, you are truly missing out on the true joys and peace that God wants you to have.

The Lord does not want you to be sad. The Lord does not want you to be angry. He understands that we all have emotions and we get emotional from time to time because of things that we endure in this world but the Word says, “Be ye angry, but sin not.” We can do all things through Christ who strengthens and redeems us. Jesus died at Calvary so that we could live in Victory. Are you living in victory today? Do you feel victorious about where you are in your life right now? Do you feel that you are giving all that you can give to God at this time in your life? Do you believe that you trust God? Be honest with yourself because no one deserves to live in misery, especially when the Lord has promised us that we can have so much peace. Hallelujah!

The word of God says that through the reading and studying of God’s Word, we are able to be transformed from glory to glory. Hallelujah!

If you are down, there is hope. If you are heart broken, there is hope. If you are hurt, there is hope. If you are in doubt, there is hope. If you are going through, there is hope. The Lord is trying to take us to a better place, a higher place in Him. He is trying to get us to the place on high that He had planned for us before the world was formed.

Why do we allow simple things to steal our joy, our peace, our pleasant time with God We can live in a wateva state of mind everyday of our lives if we would only LET GO AND LET GOD. We can not hold on to the past hurts, pains, sorrows, fears, tears, lies, deceit, impatience, madness, chaos, or stresses of yesterday. The word tells us that each day holds within its self more than enough problems to worry with. The word also tells us that God’s Grace and Mercy is sufficient for each day and that it is renewed with each new day that is presented before us. What does this tell us? It tells us that yesterday’s problems should be left in yesterday because today has its own problems to settle. We can not allow the enemy to continue to still the blessings of God that He so kindly bestows upon us. Do you realize that every time you fail to acknowledge a blessing from the Lord, you cheat yourself? You don’t cheat God, He can’t be cheated, He’s God. He can’t be defeated, denied, nor done away with. We cheat ourselves when we fail to see the beauty in God’s goodness. How often do you stop to smell the roses? If you can, of course? How often do you take the time to thank God for the very air that you breathe? Did you know that it is a privilege to breathe God’s air and it is a privilege to have the breath of life blown into you day after day, God doesn’t have to do anything other than be God, everything else is a privilege. Hallelujah! Are we getting something today? Are we preparing ourselves to get past ourselves. At the end of the day, most of the things that we complain about are resolved and if not, what can you do about it? Nothing. At the end of the day, whatever was supposed to happen, happened, whether you liked it or not, right? What does this tell you? GOD IS IN CONTROL SO, YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE. If the Lord removes you from a home; then clearly He intends to give you a better one because He doesn’t operate hap-hazardly. Every move that He makes is strategically planned. Every action is intentional, not accidental. The Lord knows our day before it starts just as He knew our lives before we were formed in our mother’s womb. He knows how our day will begin; how our day will proceed and He knows how our day will end. He knew these things long before now. He is not lost, confused, or dismayed about anything. As the Word of God says, “He’s got the whole world in His hands.” If this is true , which we know that it is, what are we worried about? The Lord is on our side, He is fighting for us not against us. It is we who fight against ourselves day after day. It is the flesh that wars with the Spirit daily, one must be in control and one must bow down, but which one will stand? Whichever one we feed the most. If you feed the flesh, then the flesh will reign. If you deny the flesh, the flesh will submit, it will die. If you feed the spirit, your spiritual man will grow and you will be filled with new hope, life, joy, peace, happiness, all those wonderful gifts God desired for you to have. But if you deny your spirit, you will kill your spirit because one must rule and one must bow. How is your spiritual life next to your fleshly life right now? Where are you in your walk with God? Are you ready to grow in God? Is your spirit stirred up enough to do a self-examination? We are all responsible for checking ourselves if we hope not to wreck ourselves. If we are to succeed in this world, we must be willing to do a self-examination of our lives; our thoughts; our actions, on a regular basis. We should be checking ourselves on a daily basis, don’t wait for the long term results of bad decision making to rear its ugly head, take control now while there is still time.

The things of your past are in your past for a reason, leave them there. The bills that are due will be due regardless of whether you have the money or not. Worrying about them won’t change them nor will it make them go away. The Lord wants us to be debt free. This is why the Word of God, the Prayer says, “Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” The Lord does not and did not want us surrounded by bills and problems, perplexed in mind because of financial woes. The Lord owns everything. Everything belongs to Him. The money; the cars; the houses; the people; the banks; the safes; the gold; the silver; the rubies; the diamonds, all these things and so much more all belong to the Lord. Everything is God’s and therefore, in God, everything is yours. Hallelujah!
