9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

It is our Father’s will that we have life and life more abundantly.  It is His will that we be blessed and of good health but we have not, not because God does not wish to bless us but, because we refuse to ask for what we need.  All too often we assume that because God knows everything, that covers our part, there’s nothing that we need to do but, this is not true .  Yes, God does know exactly what you need but He expects you to talk to Him and tell Him what you need.  He would love to spend more time with you when you’re not so busy but it would seem that the only time that we see God or talk to God is when we need something.

Just as we seek to give good things to our children and we seek to teach them right from wrong, so our Father seeks the same for us.  It doesn’t matter what the need, it is the will of the Lord that a way will be provided.  But we have not because, we ask not.  From the creation, we were designed to succeed but we forget this because the enemy makes us believe otherwise, he deceives us into believing that where we are in life is where we were destined to be and say but the word of God says otherwise.  Who do you believe?

God wants to prosper us, this is not my assumption, this is a fact indeed.

MATTHEW 7:7

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.…”

Matthew 21:22

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

Matthew 18:19

"Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.

We do not have to live in doubt, worry or fear.  Our Father in Heaven has every intent of bringing us out of the hard ways and life that we have lived into the sweet serenity of His un-denying love and grace but we must be willing to do our parts.

First of all we must believe that whatever we ask in Jesus Name, we shall have and He shall bring it to pass, along as it is within the will of God.  It is not a good idea to just ask God for what you want, without being willing to take any advice or information from the man upstairs about how to live a healthier, happier life.

The Word of God says, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say move mountain.”  The key in this statement is to believe that you will receive and then wait with expectancy for God to do the miraculous for you.  Don’t wait depressed, weary, tired, disgusted and frustrated; wait with joy, peace, happiness and hope in the love and faithfulness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The Lord wants to bless you, do you believe that?  It is true nonetheless.  The problem is that all too often we get in our own way.  We refuse to just let go and let God, allowing our faith to take us higher and higher in the Lord.  Instead, we walk around in frustration and confusion, living an unhappy life because you refuse to ask God for something He already promised to give to you - HELP!

It is time that we start to live a victorious life in the Lord.  No longer should we continue to walk around in lack; in poor health; with no peace or joy.  No, we must ask God to bless us and then we must stand on the promises of God knowing that He will do whatever He says that He will do.  We should not give up on God because He refuses to give up on us.  We must walk into our future confident; assured and ready knowing that “All things work together for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.”  

God is trying to bless you, don’t you think that it’s about time that you got out of his way?  I do.

Father God, in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Lord, I thank you for another day on this earth with you.  I thank you for another opportunity to seek your face; to know your will and to bask in your love.  Lord as we go throughout this day, let us seek to be closer to you; to be more familiar with what You have for us to do.  Lord, please help us to ask for what we need and to trust that when we present anything in prayer, that you Oh Lord, will take tender care to it all because the prayers of the righteous availeth much.  Lord, help us to seek your will and not our own.  Help us to speak the mountains and to believe in the faithfulness of Your love and word.  Lord help us to be more like you and less like us.  Bless us in our coming in and in our going out.  Grant us the many desires and wishes that we have, according to Your will and Your riches in Glory.  We thank You in advance for every blessing; every greater measure of favor and greater hope.  Stay before us this day as we walk into our future with GREAT EXPECTATIONS IN YOUR LOVE AND MERCY.  Have your way in our lives, today; tomorrow and forever in Jesus Holy and Righteous Name, I do humbly pray.  Amen
