The novel "A Post Impressionistic Career" relates the life and adventures of Asaf Tsevieli, and his soar from an art critic at the beginning of his career that reviews exhibitions and galleries as a part time job, up to the unexceptional assignment as the newspaper art column director. He is married to beautiful Alona and is a father to two kids, but despite the envy of all his friends and acquaintances for having married beautiful Alona, his married life does not satisfy him; and he paints his grey married life with haphazard love affairs. After his surprising promotion to the newspaper's art column director, he meets Vered Bloom, a graduate of the Betzalel art academy and assigns her as his right hand. There are ups and downs in their professional relationship, but the wise and talented Vered survives as his assitant, despite his efforts to become her lover.

After rather a short while he is sent to London as the newspaper foreign correspondent, and Vered takes over his job.
