"Migrant Mother"
Dorothea Langes
World Famous Photog⁸raph
Dorothea Langes "Migrant Mother" photograph, which she took during the Dust Bowl, is one of the most well known pictures in the world.
The Dust Bowl, in 1930, killed 7000 people and made two million homeless.
Having polio as a child opened compassion in Dorothea for those that suffered.
In 1965, she prepared for an exhibit of her photographs in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Unfortunately, Dorothea died of cancer before her museum show which opened three months after her death on October 11, 1965.
Dorothea Langes Pictures influenced the Development of Documentary Photography which helped us make much needed Social Changes.
Thank-You for sharing your gifts which
are making our world a better place,
Dorothea Lange!
