The dreaded F word.....

I have always found it extremely hard understanding why we have to forgive people who hurt us, betray us and ruin our lives. Nobody had ever explained to me that when we don't forgive it is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die, it just doesn't work out. Holding onto the anger and the grudge does us more harm than it could ever do us good, it consumes space in our heart and mind that we could be filling with positivity instead. We actually deny ourselves of happiness without even realising that we are doing it.

Have you noticed that when you do hold onto it, the anger you feel really shapes you and you find yourself talking about it until it feels like your veins will pop out of your head. You get so frustrated and annoyed but you cannot stop yourself from talking about it and wanting everyone to know how angry you are. Although it may seem like you are just unloading the thoughts or letting off steam, you are actually damaging yourself. Every time you speak of someone in a negative way, wish bad on them or continue to manifest in that negative energy, you really prevent yourself from moving forward and progressing. It becomes a very big blessing blocker.

Thinking about forgiving them can seem easier than actually doing it, and yes it may take you longer than a few days but two baby steps forward is much better than ten baby steps backwards. Don't count yourself out for trying.

Once you realise how much power you give them by not forgiving them it should be much easier, you don't want to allow this person to have control over your life so if that means forgiving them stops that, then there is your answer.
