A good way to get a spike in your traffic, is to reach out to some of the influencers of the similar niche, and ask them to recommend you or mention you in their content. Tell them that you will be happy to return the favor, and remember to repeat this a few more times.

Once you finally have your own blog, and accounts on other websites that are connected to it, and if you have solid traffic on your site, you can consider yourself an influencer. Then you will have a powerful asset that can help you get a job or generate income, people will start to value your opinion, and business owners will reach out to you to get a recommendation. It will take some time and hard work, but if you are unemployed, blogging is definitely the best hobby you can take up.
