This past Saturday I stopped into the local McDonalds for a quick bite to eat. Guess what? McDonalds has no more cashiers. They have kiosks to take the punched in orders of the customers. Then they take Plastic Money ( and you know as well as I do what THAT is) to pay for the meal. I was looking at YouTube at videos from both. Christian and secular viewpoints about a cashless society. And the benefits and detriments to this type of payment system. As far as I’m concerned the detriments outweigh the benefits 99% to 1%. I remember the bar code scanner devices which are still widely used, but this is entirely different. A persons purchases are not the business of the government or the banks. Let’s keep cash payments an option for as long as possible. Now I’m fully aware there’s a COVID 19 worldwide scare on right now, but handling money is no more dangerous than handling a lot of things people handle.
Ps we don’t talk about cashless societies in the primitive Baptist church. We feel that is doctrinally in sound.
