Death Pulls U !!
It was just another day in the office located at a port, except for the warning from the Meteorological Department of a thunderstorm and flood, and that made a scary difference !
Seated on my chair, bit stressed about the departmental politics, my mind turned a wandering wind roaring wild outside the trembling shutters of my room windows, and it struck me like a bright lightening spark, 'Why risk my life ? My kids need me and I can fulfill all other duties to only by keeping safe and alive.'
So I started off towards home in my loving car with a favorite number on my stereo. soon I had reached the weird stretch where there is a Sea by the road side ! The site has magnetic beauty and I have found myself getting hooked there clicking pics but still I could never capture enough of the amazing view.
Today it was as if the sea retaliated !! Even though the ghostly dark clouds and the worsening winds were freighting me, I happen to stop there instead of racing to the safety of my house. Still many miles away. Clicking pics, for me is a reflex action, but I took a step further into a video mode, shooting the restless water and recording its mysterious sound.
Through the camera I could see the water running towards me ! Hungrily !! As if to engulf me !!! My hands shook as evident from the video disturbing the focus, but my strong mind took control and I completed the shoot. Then again I looked at the waves..... I experienced a magnetic pull but negative in nature, It appeared as if my car was getting drawn into the challenging waters, and I shivered ! I could sense death approaching !!! Gathering strength I made escape driving away immediately.
Even while rushing ahead I could feel my car cutting upstream. No, not against the powerful wind blowing opposite but against the dreadful pull of approaching death ! I Thought of my God and made exit.

I hope death for me comes peacefully in my sleep. I once wrote a frightening story that I posted here about someone could not physically escape the floodwaters Hurricane Katrina when she washed into New Orleans.
