I have watched angry waves and their mesmerizing action. But I haven't thought of them pulling me in to the sea. For someone who can't swim, that may be the case. But hurricanes certainly do come in land and swallow people up with their violence and flooding waters.
I hope death for me comes peacefully in my sleep. I once wrote a frightening story that I posted here about someone could not physically escape the floodwaters Hurricane Katrina when she washed into New Orleans.

You're so right about the rain. It reigns supreme as far as providing life to the planet. And it certainly can cause a lot of misery along the way with its cold, wet, melancholy and dangerous side. You have a real talent for writing poetry, so I hope you contribute to the poetry section.
You also have a great sense of humor that I dearly love, for without humor, misery is much harder to deal with it until a sunny day comes along.

I love rain, and I love to see movies of the monsoon, We had a large rainfall in downtown Toronto the other day . The cars were swimming in it. Rain can do so much damage but it can bring about such grace and beauty. Also great relief to drying spells. Thank you for sharing your poem and have a wonderful day dear poet.

The rain always cool off the hot air current. I'm glad you are getting the rain.
Summer has not ended here yet in Toronto, Canada. We are having the hottest day of the year. It's 36 degrees Celcius and with the humidity, it's going up to 46 degrees Celcius! (I don't know what degrees in Fahrenheit) It's really hot!

Soft rain can enhance a lovely night or make a lonely night more lonely. Driving rain can be exciting or frightening depending upon the circumstance.
