The following is a biblical passage that speaks volumes to the people that are affected most by such hatred and fear-mongering:
"Do not fear: I am with you;
do not be anxious: I am your God.
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my victorious right hand."
Isaiah 41:10
Putting aside the distracting violence that is ensuing now, competing with the pursuit of a higher calling to end racism in America, we must try to set aside all emotion and stay focused. There is no 'supreme race.' In the eyes of God, no one is better than anyone else. Everyone needs to be heard, and be protected from harm, regardless of background, gender, creed, or ethnicity. Everyone. Mayors and Governors and the authorities can no longer abdicate their responsibility in quelling anarchical violence. Rather, these officials must stand up for the freedom and preservation of this fine country, hence all citizens, to protect the peace-loving people, in accordance with the constitution.
There needs to be serious consequences for those who choose to implement violence and leave destruction in their wake. These elected politicians are responsible for preserving our civil rights, rather than kowtowing to the whims of the subversive who seek to destroy, harm, and confuse. And dedicated police officers are a big factor in the equation for lawfulness. Defunding police is just one tactic to promote anarchy and fear-and a devastating non-option.
The US is one diverse nation--one nation, one race under God--with commonality beyond measure. Lawfulness, and public safety, are both basic human rights, civil rights to be upheld in the pursuit of freedom. We are all one people, one family; equal, wonderfully, lovingly made, in God's image. Perhaps it's time we embrace that fact, that absolute truth, in both our efforts to contain anarchy, and as we work towards racial equality.
This Bible scripture reminds us all that no one is beyond God's view-no one is beyond His reach. With God at the helm, there is no reason for, or room for, division-or fear--there is only peace in Him to be found in every situation. God is Our Creator, the author of peace, not confusion. As members of the Human race, we are all parts of one body; the Human race. We all need to respect and treat all people of the Human race with love, respect, care, and equality. As Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King recently said: "There is just one race-The Human race."
