While as the editor (I hope this is the right word) of my mothers works, I choose to put this in an the category of an article, as it is not written as a poem, nor a blog, but just something that others need to think about and go with. My hopes are that this will reach many in suffering that are in loss of
death of loved ones and help them cope or give strength. It did with me. It, at least gives us all something to think about.

Death can be beautiful - when it gives release from suffering and pain. Death can be beautiful when it magnifies love through the comfort, the compassion and sympathy of friends and relatives.
Death can be beautiful when it binds those yet living more closely together, when it revives memories of a life which in its totality displayed a richness of texture and a strength of design in which the selflessness, tenderness compassion and generosity were merged. Death can be beautiful when in coming it opens the doors of life again - a life revealed in God's beyond and evermore. Death can be a gift, a reward, a promise fulfilled, the essence of God's love. The sorrow itself, that trails the wake of death, is a quality and measure of love that is creative in that it requires us to re-examine the values we hold. It causes us to question the validity of our lives, it opens our hearts to renewed appreciation of those whom we still have to love and underscores the possibility of unpredictable loss.

This is the most beautiful piece i have ever read about death and its meaning. i have used it with commendations from others. In death indeed, man ceases to be the impersonal social being among beings though he frees himself from the servitude of the anonymous “they” and thereby opens himself to his own most potentiality for being. Death is beautiful; it brings about somethingness from the nothingness of man.

The last two months has brought me face to face with the death of two of my loved ones. God, how I miss them as they were in their earthly bodies. But now it is time for me to know them differently.

"Death can be a gift, a reward, a promise fulfilled, the essence of God's love."

Yes, death is the fulfillment of a promise or many promises so in the physical passing of my two loved ones, Rogan and Theo, I say thank you for keeping your promises. I have appreciated ever single second of your lives here on earth.

Thanks for sharing this writing.

Katie:

Thank you for inviting me to come to this page. Your mother was a wise person, and in many instances, she spoke in precision and never miss a beat. I love your mother's works a lot.
