How I had a breakdown in plain sight.
Where reality ends and fantasy grabs you by the throat.

I have always been a person prone to deep and ugly depressions.  It is genetic, plus, of course added to by circumstances and situations.  I have worked for years to handle these episodes and keep life a happy medium.

I am handicapped from severe domestic violence, use a motorized wheelchair and enjoy a dozen life-threatening diseases and disorders.  Well, you might say, that would depress anyone.  Not me, that is not the source of my depression, mine is genetic, born with it and lived with it for a lifetime.

As I have aged there has been depression about the things Ican no longer do or ever hope to do again. I felt myself sinking into despair.  I no longer was writing or even visiting the sites where I regularily post.

There was however, one site I found myself visiting more and more. It is a virtual gambling site that does not involve real money - or real anything. I went there to play Bingo for years. In their reward system they gave out party passes - I accumulated over 1500 and resented them because I did not know what they were and they were useless with my Bingo and Solitare.

So, I went to the help desk and asked if I could trade them for points or something.  The answer was no - but why didn't I try a party?  Me - party!  I am the quintessential wallflower - standing in corners wishing the wallpaper would swalow me was my specialty.

But these 1700 passes bugged me. I had earned them and I like to get value for my pretend dollar. So off I went. And the descent into hell began.

to be cont.

Sounds like a real-life nightmare. I wish you well.

You are giving a unique look into what I can leave for the disabled and an intriguing entrée into your next posting.

I have, over the last month, accumulated 21 million "tokens" that are apparently useful for buying things that I never buy. "No purchase required." Will they ever come to my door with $7000 a week as a promised? I doubt it.
