One of our guinea pigs died yesterday.

Hello Everyone,

I know I promised a story, but we were sidetracked by a death in the family.

Miss Cindy Pawford was rescued with Elle MacPigson. They're two long-haired guinea pigs, and Cindy was just a tiny ball of hair.

I don't think we realized how old she was when we got her, and at the end, her system was shutting down, which seemed to come on rapidly.

We were considering euthanasia, but she ended up dying over night.

Elle is still her bumbly self, and is part of a herd with four others so she hopefully won't get too depressed.

Guinea pigs have been known to die from depression after losing their cagemate.

There's just been too many deaths recently for me to concentrate on writing. There's also some personal stuff going on, and it all just seems to be piling on and overloading my circuits.

I also forgot to mention that we got COVID again, even with wearing our masks still. It turns out though, that our friend that we babysit for had it and was not showing symptoms.

This time around has not been too bad. For Jen it was a bit rough, but for me, it feels more like a mild head cold, and neither of us lost taste or smell this time.

I'm convinced that all this had something to do with the cosmic alignment we recently experienced. Has life been extra special for you lately?

I'm trying to think of something positive with which to end this blog, and, honestly, the only thing I can think of is having gotten this Amazon Basics keyboard. You know what? It works, and I am grateful for that.

I'm also thankful for this ancient PC that can't even run Windows 11. I know I can write by hand, but at the end of the day, it will end up in digital format.

With all that said, I leave you with a dad joke:

Why did the umpire get audited by the IRS?

He claimed that he works from home.

Thank you so much for reading. Have a wonderful day....[[|:-)

P.S.: Thank you so much for 12,000 pageviews! Simply incredible....[[|:-O

Never much worried about the death of guinea pigs… Never had any. You have a lot to be thankful for. I am dictating this on my 13-year-old iMac with an ancient OS because it still works well and the dictation system, abandoned in 2016, still works fairly well.

That was a great one-liner!
