Are you ready for the Metric Jam?

Hello Everyone,

So, I heard something about the U.S. planning to convert to the metric system. Just like with soccer, I've long wondered when this conversion would take place. Dividing by ten is so much easier.

I even remember learning the, Metric Jam, in seventh grade:

Kilo, hecto, deka,
Meter, liter, gram,
Deci, centi, milli,
That's the Metric Jam!

If you look at a chart of the metric prefixes you'll see why that makes sense.

On the home front, I'm here all alone for the next two days. My wife and her son are out at the coast with her sister to deal with their mother's ashes. Instead of spreading them in international waters, they've opted to do what my wife saw on Facebook.

Someone had put their significant other's ashes into a bottle with a note and set it out to sea. They also added a dollar so that whomever might find it could call and let them know where it landed, and then continue the process. It seems like a fun way to deal with a macabre event.

It's nice to have some 'me' time, but taking care of thirty-eight guinea pigs takes up a lot of time.

Maxwell, the cat, is beginning to open up and venture out of his bedroom. He came to greet me in the other bedroom several times yesterday, although, once was to tell me that he wanted his food and water. My wife's son had left it on the counter and I'm guessing he had planned to wash out the bowls but forgot.

It turns out that the one time Waffle escaped while Panda was having floor time was enough to get her pregnant. She was only down there for about five minutes before we realized what had happened. Frenchie, her mother, had her and four others, so we may soon have forty-three piggies!

Somehow, I forgot to renew my food stamps this cycle, and so this is going to be a tough month, especially with possibly five more piggies on the way.

Anybreadth, I haven't been writing very much, but I do plan to write part two of Starbrood later… maybe tomorrow. I did manage to complete the latest chapter of memes which can be found on Wattpad and Medium.

On Author's Den, I've gotten to 18,000 pageviews, which is absolutely amazing! My Stories on there is closing in on 6,000 views! Thank you all so much. I would love to see more feedback.
