Blogs are blah, but quakes are AAAH!

Hello Everyone,

Today is yet another unplanned blog, but our mundane life never seems to stop having its exciting moments.

In case you're wondering, the title has nothing to do with that image, nor is it a new type of playground equipment. It refers to the earthquake that occurred last night not too far to the northwest of us. It was a 4.2 magnitude earthquake which was strong enough to shake our apartment building as we were on the outskirts of its effects.

I was home alone and suddenly I notice my monitor swaying side to side as I have it on a small box to raise it up further. I then noticed that I, too, was swinging and swaying. I've never experienced an earthquake, and it frightened me enough to go outside and wait out any possible aftershocks.

Interestingly enough, none of our pets reacted to this. It makes me wonder if they're used to it being able to feel more subtle tremors than we can, which occur quite often and in a lot of places with most of them go unnoticed.

I'll tell you one thing, nothing has given me more motivation to want to get out of this hellhole.

Now, to explain what the image is about; we get food delivered to us from a food bank. For about a year, it was always these volunteers that hardly spoke English, but they're forced to call us to let us know that they're here. They would never wait up for us, leaving the bags by the lobby, sometimes outside, and sometimes inside.

This was frustrating as, sometimes, our food would get stolen. We finally got a new deliverer who is an American, however, when he calls us to let us know that he's here, he somehow sneaks by me and puts our food in front of our door. The only thing I can think of to explain it is, that he somehow gets into the staircase near our door, which you can't get into from outside, and runs to put our food there before I get back from looking for him downstairs.

Then! Then we get this little note in a sandwich baggie with a lollipop and a tiny airhead. Look, I know things are tough all over, but he's asking people to tip him that are struggling to put food into their own bowl!

I'm just really shocked at the gall of this guy. I almost didn't blur his name.
Oh, and if you want the answer to the riddle, here it is:

It's hard to get them out of their shell, and once you do, they are a little nuts!

My easily amused self did not laugh either. One of those dad jokes that is full groan. And, no, we did not look at the memes he sent. Segue into my latest meme.

I didn't use Nightcafe to make that, but my latest entry into their daily challenge has a current rating of 3.41 out of 5, which is my highest grade so far when it comes to the daily challenges. Here's the link to the image.

The theme is: a bug's view. I tried, but couldn't seem to get it to do the macroscopic view to where everything would look much larger. However, out of the handful I tried, this one looked amazing to me.

Cessantly, I'm currently writing part three of Starbrood. I came up with an idea for a character and it inspired me to want to write the next part. I don't know just how soon this particular character will enter the story, but I know you will fall in love with them.

I also came up with a really cool scene for Dr. Pherringer's first time jump in, Time Quest. Even still, I plan to write chapter four of, Dega III, next for those of you who've been awaiting patiently.

Thank you so much for reading. Have a wonderful day….[[|:-)
