Nothing like waking up to no water.

Hello Everyone,

I almost wrote this yesterday before we went to the store, and I'm glad I didn't.

We woke up yesterday to having no water. We checked our door, and there was no notice. I was pretty irate, but apparently, it's par for the course living in this apartment complex. We tried to call our management, and no one picked up.

I tried calling non-emergency, and they told me to call the water company, so it's not a crime. I called the water company, and they tried to get me to call our landlord. I told him they were unreachable, so he gave me the number to the Tenant Union, which I do plan to call.

We finally went to the store after feeding our forty rescued guinea pigs. This was when we found those notices on the floor. We're in the corner, and the one apartment across from us didn't have one either.

In case you don't know, notices must be taped or attached to your door. The tiny date at the top of these notices does say, "10–16–2023", though, when my wife's son left early yesterday morning, he said that there were no notices on the floor.

This means that they had security run around at the last minute to drop these off, and somehow, skipped our corner.
I honestly don't have much hope about calling the Tenant Union.

So, on to some nice news. Princess Ladybug is fluffing up nicely. She looks like a walking duvet, and she is getting along very well with Ginny and Murphy.

That is two months of hair growth, and she is no longer barbering herself, but she does like to groom Murphy's beard as he is a bit of a sloppy eater.

Maxwell, the Incognito Tuxedo, is starting to play harder now, and he has all but gotten used to the guinea pigs. He still doesn't want them to touch him, but he is a lot more relaxed with them. He no longer tries to run away when we bring one to him to sniff.

He actually seems to like Ace, who has a deformed front leg. Ace is not afraid of him either. I think Max wants to figure out a way to play with them, even if it's just chase.

For the end of the line, I finally managed to finish part three of, Starbrood. If you come and read it, you'll be the first one.

I, unfortunately, have not gotten any other writing done. It's kind of hard when you don't have your basic amenities. We're very lucky to have had a small store of water from the local spring, though, I still couldn't take a shower until that afternoon.

Pardon my French, but it was a literal shitty day since I went to the bathroom not knowing that there was no water to flush.

Thank you so much for reading. Have a wonderful day….[[|:-)
