Hello Everyone,

It's come to my attention that Wattpad no longer allows people to read for free without having an account. In fact, even if you have an account, you can't read for free anymore.

The entirety of my reasoning for joining in the first place was that anyone could read what's there for free.

So, now I will be slowly removing my works that I don't have saved elsewhere and then deleting my account.

I suppose I will have to use Google Docs. You still have to have an account, but it's a lot more likely that someone will.

Online sites are so frustrating in that way. If they want to change things, they will, and you get no vote in the matter.

Anyhoot, what about that solar storm and the resulting aurora. I didn't get to see it, but I heard it was seen as far south as Florida.

Wouldn't that make it aurora tropicalis? And in the temperate zone, would it be aurora temperalis?

Did we just survive another Carrington Event? If you look at the sunspot made by the storm, it's relatively the same size as the one made by the Carrington Event storm.

I at least expected there to be more interference, especially with the satellites. Maybe it was more of a glancing blow. Mother Earth protected us well this time.

It's been recorded that Earth will shift its electromagnetic field to alter the field's shape to better withstand the solar rays. It even makes a conical shape to better deflect them back out into space. And we call it a rock? Will we ever admit to it being a sentient entity? Protecting oneself is a part of the Turing Test.

I even have a theory that Earth would not protect itself from the next one if AI were to take over.

Lastly, I plan to port my current meme archive to Author's Den. I'm still preparing the first one for print.
