The Raging Bull roller coaster at Six Flags Over Chicago might be the best analogy.

Hello Readers,

The photo above I took the other day with my new phone when I visited my partner at the hospital. You get a nice shot of this old fire watchtower from the elevated station for the light rail. There was a seahawk using it as a prey watchtower. I think maybe he was just chillin' though.

My partner is recovering well from her open heart surgery, but it has been up and down. Her diabetes that she had under control flared up, and then a bad IV pushed fluid into the flesh of her right hand, making it very swollen. Nothing to do but let it drain on its own, and the swelling has gone down some.

This morning, they removed the final chest tube, and so she only has an IV currently poking her, other than the regular blood sugar checks. She's at least used to them.

I had a rough night the other night when I visited her. I finally managed to get the phone activated, but when I got on the bus to go home, the new extremely slick screen caused it to slip out of my back pocket. Luckily, I discovered it quickly and turned around to see the same bus going the other way and decided to see if there was anything to be done.
The bus driver turned out to be a saint and called it in while I rode with him back to the light rail station. They contacted the other driver and he set my phone aside and all I had to do was wait over an hour in the cold for him to come back to the station.

I got my phone back, but while waiting I got very cold and decided to put on the thick flannel that my partner had gotten from her wishlist. The tag was held on by string and so I used my Leatherman Skeletool to cut it off, but I set it down on the ground, and in my scatter-brained state, I just left it.

Literally my most favorite pocket tool I've ever had. I called the next day, but no one turned it in. I had a little hope since there is a lot of security at these new stations. The light rail is super busy already, but it was late so there was a chance.

Anytool, it's looking like they're going to release her tomorrow, which is both good and bad. Please check out her wishlist, and I also made one to replace my Leatherman if possible. I use it pretty much everyday, and now that I'm going to be waiting on my partner hand and foot for a while, it will most likely get even more use.

I had planned to buy an EDC pouch to carry it in, and the idea was to tie it to a belt loop to keep from losing it, provided I always put it back. I even got some kevlar cord for that purpose.
All in all, it's been a lot like The Raging Bull, no loopedy-loops, but it's fast and thrilling and mostly uses centrifugal (or is it centripetal?) force to keep you in your seat as the restraint was just a large plastic triangular prism sitting over your lap; nothing else. I highly suggest it if it's still at Six Flags Over Chicago.

Thank you so much for reading. I hope you imagine having a wonderful day....[[|:-)
