Received email yesterday from the editor working on 'Grave Results Two-Blood Rites', the second novel in the Grave Results Trilogy. It's in editing now and is going through a long, lengthy process before the galleys finally reach me for a final correction. Then the cover is made up and sent to me for approval. The process will take at least six months because they're backed up.
I've been through this a dozen times to date, but the excitement never stops. Everytime a novel is published I go back to the beginning when my first novel, `Sister Satan' was sold and the feeling of complete euphoria--not to get corny--when I signed the contract. I imagined that one day this type of thing would become commomplace. As a good friend of mine, author P.M. Griffin, said, "When it stops becoming exciting, that's when we'll all be attending your funeral." She meant that being dead is the only way to not feel anything.
By the way: P.M. now has a new novel out, the first in her new series-`Star Commandos 2, Colony in Peril'. It's available for sale on Amazon and Barnes and Nobel. Take a look. It's a wonderful novel--5 stars at least.
This is probably her 13th and she still gets the 'new book' feeling. It's wonderful.
I give ALL you writer of books....BiG KUdos!!! thick and tasty ones, it's not EASy to think of what to write for 4 pages - levermind, 60pages- hmmm... and more- I give you so much credit to have so many ideas floating around in your head- and to do sequels and series- MOre Power to ya's- that's why I seem to gravitate to writing Poetry, I guess...Not only that, but - there are so many ideas/books/ and writings out their somewhere.
