For those who truly cared, not giving up on your loved ones could MAKE ONE BIG DIFFERENCE.
To be able to carry the burden of each other requires a constant flow of grace. We have a loving God who wants only the best for His creation. Oftentimes, He makes His presence known through people that helped us through the lowest points of our lives.
February 1999 was a very special month for me because it was the month of our high school silver jubilee. Aside from the usual catching up about our lives after our high school graduation 25 years ago, we have agreed to gather as many classmates as we can so that we can pray for the needs of one another. Our God Who is truly an Awesome God not only bonded one close knit ICCHS CLASS of 74 , He also planted the seed of hope and the sense of belonging to all those who were present. In our gatherings, the Good Lord moved us to make each one feel valued as we are. We basked in pure friendship and unconditional acceptance. We cheered over our successes and cried over our troubles and heartaches. We worried about our future and our children while we draw strength from our little triumphs and achievements. It was difficult to part ways after a weeklong reunion, yet move on we must, for life's battles still have to be waged. This homecoming made us emerge more secure with the thought that somewhere, sometime, somehow---- a particular classmate or two are wishing us well. When times of uncertainty arise, the question "who else can I turn to?" need not go unanswered anymore…We have our own solace, Our Good Lord has given us each other, He has given us a family in ICCHS Class 74!
Do you feel left out? Do you sometimes feel all alone? Look around you ... so engrossed with your emotions ---- you may have barred yourself unknowingly from those who really cared about you. Bring to mind those who were there for you when you were most vulnerable, they are God's way of saying: Yes! He knows what you are going through. And yes! He is looking after you.
I firmly believe that as long as there is someone who does not give up on us, we will never be lost in our struggle for meaning, goodness and direction.
Sometimes we may feel we are left to fend on own , then we realize later on that there is someone silently rooting for us to become our very best all along!
I can say this with certainty now because of my brother whom I have never given up on all these years. He had his share of troubles and disappointments but the thought that there are people praying for him gave him the extra boost to continue searching for a meaningful future.
The beautiful prayer that follows is my constant encouragement when I pray. I hope it will become yours too. You see, we are really here to pray for one another, this much I know!
The Prayer
~"I am an intercessor-----a prayer warrior strong in the power of Your Might. I refuse to turn coward---faint, lose heart and give up , for my prayers avails much in the Name of Jesus Christ."
I also believe that our sincere prayer for a person works an invisible spiritual force field which prevents the evil one from totally bringing to perdition the person that we pray for.
The light emitting from the wick of one little candle can never be obliterated by all the darkness in this world ! \(^o^)/
This is a great article. I wish I had seen it sooner.

A beautifully written article. As a fellow Prayer Warrior, I too believe we should never give up on those we are praying for. God Bless you Nellie for sharing your wonderful gift with others.
Join me as we travel together on the road called "Aging." I will be sharing my personal experiences with you and offer ideas on how we can better navigate the complex byways of our older years. Grief, healing, generations, ancestors, and more.
For a time, I perched myself on a flat rock, comparing my life with the Guyandotte River. Just as its tributaries replenish it daily, changing it in some small—sometimes great—degree, so have the day-to-day occurrences of life changed me. Like the ri
