OUR HELP COMES FROM THE LORD

When she came across the email SAVE OUR WOMEN, indignation and anger welled up in her heart . Suppression of women's rights in Afghanistan has driven many, once promising but now, depressed women to commit suicide. A woman can be stoned to death by the accidental exposure of an arm. A family with no male breadwinner will starve to death. Women are not allowed to work with no male relative accompanying them. Death by stoning is normal. AND we thought this kind of oppressive double standard do not exist anymore!!!

She, being a strong willed woman herself, turned to God in anguish for the women of Afghanistan. She prayed:"Pleeease God, please channel my anger to something positive."

You see, she used to love imagining herself saying, " God forgives, I DON'T!" Words so forceful, so unloving, and so unkind. How she used to love imagining herself mouthing those lines. She used to look at the world as a jungle where only the strong and the ruthless survive. BUT that was before she found THE JESUS WAY of TRUST, KINDNESS and FORGIVENESS. How she struggled to rearrange her mindset every time the urge to hurt and to be mean threaten to surface. Her mind maybe a turbulent battleground, yet only JESUS knew this. No one knew from the outside because only kindness and compassion was what Gentle Jesus allowed her to show. . Only God, ONLY THE GRACE FROM OUR GENTLE LOVING GOD rescued her from her woundedness.

She does not know how much longer the women of Afghanistan and the rest of the oppressed women in the world would suffer. All she can do now is to forward the SAVE OUR WOMEN email to as many people as possible. All she can do now is to PRAY and offer her struggles to be kind FOR THEM. All she can do now is to TRUST that GOD will CONSOLE THEM the way GOD willingly became man and DIED FOR OUR SINS.
