The fast-growing book review/publicity service Reader Views, continues its mission to promote literacy and the written word by announcing a new and exciting opportunity for authors. The Annual Reader Views Literary Contest was established to make available to authors and writers, the chance to have their high-quality short story recognized, printed, and available to a wider audience of readers. Reader Views has partnered with an innovative and reputable publisher that will print the winning stories in a book-form anthology.
The theme of the Annual Reader Views Literary Contest 2006, is “Transformation.” Submissions must be true stories about the most important self-discovery that the writer, or the writer’s family member had, or an event/decision that caused the writer to look at the world or themselves in a whole new way. This significant transformation would be one that reshaped the writer’s life from that point forward. The working title for the anthology is “THE STORY THAT MUST BE TOLD: TRUE TALES OF TRANSFORMATION.”
Thirty semi-finalists will be named, with final judging for twenty stories that will be printed in an anthology published by Loving Healing Press. This anthology will be in book form and all twenty writers will receive a copy of the book and the opportunity to purchase books for resale. The final book will be available for purchase on Amazon as well as other online bookstores. Finalists will be decided in February 2007.
Reader Views is in the first year of conception, yet is leading the way in assisting self-published and small-press authors launch their work into the marketplace. Neither Reader Views nor Loving Healing Press retains any rights to submitted manuscripts, nor will they reproduce or publish any submission without the writer’s authorization. Their objective is to provide, yet again, another economically-friendly and creative way for authors to have their work recognized, published, and accessible to a wider reading audience.
