Now this makes no sense to me at all. What they are saying is that because somebody in Iowa has pretended to vote for a person this will somehow cause the rest of us to vote that way, too.
Wait I minute. Do we not all have minds? Can we not all look at each candidate and come to our own decision as to whether we will cast our vote for or against that person?
Who is to say some of those people will pretend to vote for one candidate and then decide when the Election Day comes they won’t cast their real vote for another? After all more time will have passed. There will be more campaigning and people do have the right to change their minds.
Could it be that this kind of shallow thinking is the reason our wonderful country is slipping into a state of complacency? Or maybe the complacency is the reason we are losing much of our American strengths.
Another thing bothers me. The news media is talking a lot about how negative advertising can bring down a candidate, even if that person is not worthy of such degradation. Mudslinging seems to be a major part of politics. Is it any wonder many Americans have thrown up their hands in disgust and simply say, “Oh well… what the ____? You fill in the blank.
We need an American dream with positive thinkers. We do not need mudslinging contests. Let that to Monday Night RAW! What we need is someone with positive ideas to save our nation before it falls under the weight of its own corruption.
Let us all pray for America. It needs it now more than ever.
