It seems I have an abscessed tooth which must be pulled.  The procedure was to be this morning and we were on our way when my Cell phone rang.  It was the girl from the doctors saying, “don’t come in our computers are down.”  I will go tomorrow.  I love computers myself but I wonder if it is really a good idea to depend upon them quite so much.

            My Medical doctor’s office is going computerized.  They say it is a way to cut down on paper and thereby pollution.  The only thing I wonder about is if that thing goes down what affect does it have on someone who needs instant medical treatment.  All my records are in there.  In all honesty they aren’t only there yet.  The doctor carries a book on me that is a regular medical textbook.

            My point though is this.  When they do finally go completely computerized this will mean the computer will be their only source of information.  If it shuts down, there goes all my information until they can bring it back up.  I am sure they have a back-up system but if I need help today then tomorrow will be no help.

            This does not compute.
