The economic slowdown has not slowed technological innovation in the United States. Exciting things are being developed that will change the world drastically.
Mark Lichterman's article yesterday got me thinking. While Apple has been accused of outsourcing its products to China and abusive labor practices, they have recently decided to start producing high-end computers in Austin, I believe.
Apple is an example of American innovation at the forefront. Yesterday, I viewed their keynote address from their worldwide developers' conference. It is amazing how they are pushing the envelope when it comes to technology. While other countries are producing cheaper products, Apple is leading the cutting-edge in new, innovative ways of human interaction.
Warning: the keynote address is quite long, about 2 1/2 hours. But some of the most interesting parts are near the end like their new developer language called Swift, because it is so fast.
