NHK World TV's TOKYO EYE has spent the past several years informing me on aspects of Japanese living and culture that might otherwise remain forever unknown to foreigners living outside Japan. Of particular fascination to me is contemporary Japanese society and how observance of centuries-old traditions has evolved to co-exist with modern urban ideals.
