Once in awhile that special someone just knows how to make your day.

It is that time of season again, when the snow starts to fall, Christmas decorations come out. The streets of the city become full of daily hustle and bustle.

For varying reasons through life when it comes to Christmas just call me Ebenezer. Do not get me wrong. I will do the Christmas decoration ritual, buy presents and send out Christmas cards. However, that good ole Christmas spirit had left me years ago. Too many tragedies during Christmas has deflated my ho-ho-ho spirit. To me it has become another day. I have really tried to get into the spirit year after year to no avail. Till now.

Earlier in the summer, someone special had come my way. Not only did he renew my faith in the world again. He had also shown me how wonderful a love can be.

Every Christmas season I receive gifts from friends, family and clients. Each in their own way are special to me. None though have ever been as special as the one my life partner had given me recently. I do not even think he knows how special it was to me, and how very happy it had made me feel. What was it you ask? A small simple gesture of going Christmas shopping together. Grant it. It may not seem grand or special to a lot of you, but to me it was one of the most loving gifts that he could ever give me.

The point to all of this you may wonder? The simplest most sincere gesture can mean the most spectacular gift of all.

Among all the gifts I will receive this one simple gesture from him will be my greatest gift. I have received this season. I will always remember and treasure it through the rest of our life together.
