.Edward, Your comment is so typical. First of all, God is Holy. The angels in heaven do not declare Love, Love, Love -- but Holy Holy Holy... Secondly, the fear/reverence of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom. Thirdly, the Bible is not a cafeteria, whereby you can pick and choose what scriptures to follow and what to ignore - thus making yourself to be a god (aka Idolatry or in your case Universalism). Forthly, God is a God of Love, but he is also a Just God. The New Testament is full of examples of judgement against the doers of inquity. Also, Jesus speaks of HELL more than any other person in the Bible. Lastly, regarding your comments on Love -- does he love Obama (that is between God and Him). However, the Lord also hates the actions of the disobedient - as exemplified in Revelation 2:6

The bible was written in a manner at in a time in which it could be understood by very ignorant people. Apart from its parables it teaches little today. God is love, not vengeance. God is merciful, not tyrannical. God forgives, he does not dispose. He expects us to learn and to improve. He does not expect miracles from us. He loves Obama, he does not hate him or any of his creations.
